“I was at the Twisted Wheel on 31 Jan 1971 (the final night). Edwin Starr was playing live, I met him and still have the signed photo I got that night. A little later I want to the Torch and Blackpool but it wasn't the same. The era had ended and I got into prog rock. Still, great memories. Unfortunately, the signature is now so faint that you can't see it anymore. Still, I clearly remember talking to him at the bar/counter while he was signing it. None of us knew at the time that that was the final night.” Lewis
